Hello! It has been a while since I’ve posted some info in my blog besides the videos ofc so I would like to take the opportunity to comment about a few of the most recent changes.
Firstly, there are many players that are still intrigued about what to use… Lostmauth or Orcus’ set. I’ll try to keep this as simple as possible. Lostmauth’s set is not useless, it is still good compared to the other options and don’t forget that GWF class has the highest weapon damage and can get a very high crit easily. According to a few test, the lostmauth’s set would be around 5% +/- of your total damage (tested with 100% crit rate so less crit % = less overal dmg). Orcus’ is a good set that works with a very simple formula: HP% – HP% / 5. It doesn’t matter who has the highest HP between your enemy and you, it will work in the same way. You can see it in another way: the lower the HP of your enemies, more dmg you will deal to them up to 19.99% (considering that your HP is the highest).
The Orcus’ set is very expensive right now for most players because there’s a high demand and low offer. It will be cheaper after some time so don’t worry, keep using lostmauth until you are able to afford the new set, however, there’s another issue. If you change the set, you will end up losing 2k ArPen and don’t forget that you need to have at least 60% RI always. Be sure that you can back up this asap before the change.
Another thing that I would love to mention is that since the arrival of Mod9, I’ve been using the class feature Wrathful Determination (I kept Weapon Master as my offhand artifact bonus for a long time as I didn’t want to spoil anything 😉 I like secrets). The new mount bonuses and insignias are giving us a lot of Critical Dmg: between 5% and 10% crit chance depending on your mount and 0.5% crit every “insignia of skill”. Finally, we can safely stop using Weapon Master class feature and switch it for another one.
Please note that this class feature isn’t working as described in the tooltip but that’s not an odd thing in Neverwinter Online, right? Let’s remember the description: You gain melee Damage as your Determination fills up. This bonus is doubled when your Determination is full. Ok no, that’s not how it actually works. As soon as you slot Wrathful Determination in your power tray, you can notice an increasement of 25% more damage in your powers and that’s not all, we will receive an additional damage bonus based on our determination. Once your Unstoppable bar is full, you will have 12.5% more damage. It is not doubled after pressing TAB. My guess is that it would be WAI (according to the tooltip) if we get the 12.5% as our determination bar is being filled and then 25% when is already full and then it drains slowly.
Since our highest possible dmg bonus % will be when our determination bar is full, I recommend to use IBS inmediatelly after pressing TAB.
Now, for those who are interested about how my character looks now.
I’ve had enough luck lately and I’ve got the best offensive rings +5: Brutality and Sudden Precision.
