Hello everyone, the is the final soloing video for Castle Never featuring the first (and easiest) boss Tal’gath The Undying. This was actually my first attempt fighting this boss solo and I was too prepared for this fight as I expected a bit more of challenge. I knew that I would never be linked (the green link) since I’m alone in this fight but the damage done by most of his attacks weren’t really high for me. I could have done this a lot faster switching my defensive feats for more damage.
This is a good video that shows that when you come in a group of friends, the biggest danger in the fight are the party members who are unable to pay attention to the fight and do not avoid contact when they are linked to someone else.
This is the 2nd video of the serie, a fight against the 2nd boss in Castle Never, Cthylar the Illithilich and I can tell you that I had to solo this just to see the different mechanics in this fight that are very probably unnoticed when you come with a group.
You can see many times during the video that I’m being constantly knocked down by his minions even on Unstoppable. They are weak and usually die in a couple of seconds against a standard good group, if these adds were stronger the whole fight would be much more enjoyable.
Also, the phases where the zone flips to the ceiling are a lot better this time, I even have time to move and avoid the damage which doesn’t work so efficiently with a party. It was a good fight, much more interesting that fighting Orcus I have to say.
Thank you very much for watching!
Finally Mod 9 arrived along with a new challenge for me: Castle Never. I used to farm this dungeon back in Mod 2-4 when it was one of the best ways to farm AD. The shared AD runs were great, you usually met a lot of nice and honest players, good times! But things have to change sometimes and this CN is a new one, it can be farmed too because there are insignia dropping from bosses (and skill nodes), good amount of RP for your own use or for selling it and a chance to get +5.
Let’s get to the point: There will be a serie of 3 videos, each one showing each boss in this dungeon. Firstly, Orcus which is the most difficult fight for a melee character because he hits like a mad truck on steroids but hey otherwise it would be very boring.
I had to change my whole build for this fight and get as much damage resistance/mitigation as possible. One single hit from Orcus and I can die, as simple as that, so the trick is to being able to resist the first hit (Power Word: Kill or more like Power Word: Rape lol) and let my amazing little friend “Hulk” to tank him while I deal the damage. Sometimes, Orcus is going to turn around and hit me, you can see the dmg that almost kill me but I can get my HP to full ASAP.
Hello everyone! In this opportunity we will see a new way of soloing, no numbers or long fights against what we don’t really want to see… Now, it’s just pure action! We love Neverwinter Online for the lore, fights, combat system but specially because it can be EPIC and that is the essence of this video.
The Black Ice Beholder is a very, very hard enemy who can kill you with a single blow if you are not focused and the closer it is to his death the fight will become even more difficult. It was very fun to solo it.
It is very important to mention that I didn’t edit this video since it was a great work of JayAge Dee and highly recommend you to check his channel for more videos related to Neverwinter Online:
Hey guys! Well, just like in the Epic Valindra’s Tower dungeon, it was also considered impossible to solo due to the mechanics in the final fight against Fulminorax and Valindra and that’s the main reason that encouraged me to give it a try. I have mentioned before that using Scrolls of Life after dying is lame and stupid so it was important to come with a smart idea. I did a few tests and I noticed that every time you get caught by Valindra, our companion will always come to aid us (Cool A.I feature) so we just need to use one that is able to hit hard enough to force her to release our character. Shadow Demon is known as the hardest hitting companion at this moment but I think there are others who can do the same job like the Cambion Magus i.e.
Enjoy the video and please let me know if you liked the intro, lol.
Hello everybody! Please, I highly recommend you to watch the whole video. Keep in mind: No Stones of Health (which recovers 100% of your HP, using these is very stupid and lame imho) and No Underdark Rings.
I have to say that this was a very fun thing to try. This wasn’t an easy task because Traven Blackdagger really hits hard, specially with the Fire Bomb attack. It only takes 1 single mistake and just a little bit of bad luck to die fighting against him. Yes, I died several times before having success but that’s great because that’s what allows me to learn and think how to avoid to be killed. Every death means that you can do a small improvement and then try again to see how it worked.
